Da Vinci Code, Racial Profiling and Axel Rose - Tommy Hilfiger Fight

Filed under: The Show — Justin @ 2:15 pm

Rover and Duji both saw the new Da Vinci code movie over the weekend.  Neither of them enjoyed the movie (Rover had read the book, Duji had not).  They both expressed dislike of the acting (even Tom Hanks) and said there were several unexplained flashbacks.  Rover said he would have been totally confused if he had not just finished reading the book.  Most of the callers expressed dislike with the movie as well, there were a few positive reviews and some people did think Rover was being too harsh.

The conversation turned to airport security and then to racial profiling.  Rover and Dieter agreed that we should
racially profile people of middle eastern descent at airports because of their roles in 9-11.  Duji disagreed and basically said we should just search everyone extra cautiously.  Obviously if we search everyone, lines are going to increase, as are costs and there will be a huge uproar.

Rosario Dawson threw a birthday party in NYC this weekend.  Axel Rose performed an acoustic concert at the party.  He apparently asked Tommy Hilfiger (politely, according to reports) to move his date’s drink so that it would not be spilled.  This sent Hilfiger into a rage, yelling and then repeatedly punching Rose.  Rose did not retaliate and Hilfiger’s own bodyguards had to restrain him.  Hilfiger was then asked to leave.
