Dieter crashes into brick wall

Filed under: Dare Dieter — Justin @ 2:32 pm

Dieter has been contending for some time know that locking out your arms and legs during a car crash is better than wearing a seatbelt. A listener wrote in with a Dare Dieter submission to test out this theory. DJ Jazzy Jim built a 6 foot tall brick wall. They then put Dieter on a hand cart like you would buy from Home Depot.

They set the cart back about 40 feet from the wall. Johnathon pushed Dieter into the wall full force. The sound of the collision was super loud. The wall came down on top of Dieter and the next thing you could hear was Dieter coughing and wheezing. Rover said the amount of dust that kicked up was unbelievable. Dieter was covered in bricks and was having trouble breathing. Johnathon got a bloody nose. They found several bricks that were broken completely in half.

Rover announced that Dieter’s “Lock Out Theory” seemed to work for this dare, even though he wasn’t sure how it would work in a car accident.

Rover’s car problems, Toledo mayor “King Kong” comment and Collection Agencies

Brian Peppers

A few weeks ago, DJ Jazzy Jim borrowed Rover’s Ford Explorer to go on the hunt for Brian Peppers. When he returned the car, Rover complained that something was wrong with it and began accusing Jim of wrecking it, which Jim vigorously denied.

Dieter borrowed Rover’s car yesterday to move some furniture he bought. He said the car rattles very loudly and that it doesn’t take off when you press on the gas. Rover again brought Jim in and asked him about the car, Jim still denied anything happening. Several callers thought it was a problem with the catalytic converter. I don’t think Jim will be borrowing Rover’s car again.

The mayor of Toledo, OH, Carty Finkbeiner, apparently referred to Toledo’s fire chief Michael Bell as “King Kong”. Finkbeiner was obviously referring to Bell’s stature and strength. The comments have now been labeled as racist because Bell is a black man. This has become a huge media debacle in Toledo and as often happens these days, people who make statements that should be taken as compliments are turned into “racial slurs”.

Duji said this morning that she received a letter from a collection agency over a credit card she had from Marshall Fields. The debt was originally $100 and the purchase was made in 1998. The collection agency had acquired the debt in 2001 but had just sent her a bill. The bill was for $360. After several callers giving false advice, someone from the collection agency Duji is dealing with called in and she said that since the debt was over 7 years old that she need not pay it.
