Roethlisberger: Pittsburgh\'s Own Big Ben
Ben Roethlisberger, quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers, was involved in a serious motorcycle accident yesterday. Roethlisberger, a self proclaimed motorcycle fanatic, was riding with no helmet. He collided with a car making a left hand turn, details have not been released on who was at fault in the accident. Roethlisberger was thrown from his Suzuki Hayabusa. He had to go through a seven hour surgery yesterday, including plastic surgery for his head and face.

Dieter is a huge Cleveland Browns fan. He said that he actually prayed that Roethlisberger would die. For anyone that has been listening for a while, you will remember when Dieter and Rover saw Kimo von Oelhoffen’s family last year at the Superbowl. Dieter told his family that he hoped he would die during the game. His little daughter went crazy and hilariety ensued, so I was not totally surprised by his comment. Many listeners called in chastizing Dieter for his comments. Roethlisberger is in serious but stable condition.

Rover began to talk about his relationship, which has been going on for six years now. He says his girlfriend will run up a large ($1,000) credit card bill. He will then go to pay it off and his girlfriend will tell him he should just pay $200 instead even though he has enough money to completely pay it off. Rover tries to explain that it doesn’t make sense to let interest accrue when you can pay it all off at once, women are illogical and don’t understand that. Rover said he is also reading a book on dog training and it has made him realize that he has lost the power in the relationship. He referred to it as the “pack leader”. This led into a big conversation about how relationships can not be equal.

Joey Vento from Geno's Steaks
Rover contends that one person must have power and the other must follow. He gave the example of his grandparents. His grandfather had the power until he was around 55-60 and then gave up the power to Rover’s grandmother. He says the relationship just began to go down hill. A caller told Rover that he was going in the exact same direction but ended up changing the locks on his house to teach his girlfriend a lesson and it worked. Rover said there was going to be no more Mr. Nice Guy.

Joey Vento, owner of Geno’s Steaks, was on the show this morning. Geno’s had been discussed last week on the show for putting up a sign that asked people to speak English. Joey and Geno’s has received a ton of media attention because of this. Joey was a pretty strange guy, Dieter thought he was awesome though. Rover and Dieter both thought Joey was right in putting up the sign and Joey justified the sign by saying people would not receive what they wanted if they didn’t order in English. The man has a point.
