From St. Louis: Genital piercings and Booker T

Filed under: The Show — Justin @ 3:33 pm

The show was broadcast live from “The Point” studios in St. Louis. The Miss Morning Glory calendar search party will be tomorrow night from 8 to 10pm at Pop’s Nightclub in St. Louis. Doors open at 7pm and it is 18 and up this time.

Duji told a story about her 14 year old niece who wants to get her clit pierced. She said all her friends are doing it. There have been some crazy stories on the show before but this one just blew my mind. I can not imagine junior high school or high school freshman girls getting this done. Maybe I am just old fashioned. The niece also told Duji’s sister that she is a virgin. Rover immediately called BS on this and said she must be sexually active. A caller chimed in and said he thought she may be a virgin but is just getting peer pressure from her friends to do it. Either way, 14 years old is extremely young to get any body piercings, not to mention genitals. I can’t imagine knowing some creepy tattoo shop guy doing this to my daughter. This topic got lots of calls and conversation with most people being concerned about someone getting this done at such a young age. Duji said she thought she was going to have to intervene (mindblower!).

Booker TProfessional wrestler, Booker T, was on the show this morning. Booker T has been on the show before and said that he just turned forty years old not too long ago, which is crazy. He is still in great shape. Rover had heard a story that Booker and his friends used to dress up in Wendy’s employee outfits and rob Wendy’s stores at closing time. Booker did not appreciate the question and would not comment. He also answered several other questions with responses that were later negated by callers. He said he had never been used as a black character in professional wrestling. A caller then said he had in fact been brought out by a white redneck (depicting him as a slave) when he first got started wrestling. It was a strange call.

Gateway Arch on Dieter’s Ass

Filed under: Dare Dieter — Justin @ 3:08 pm

Ron from St. Louis wrote in with this week’s dare. He wants Dieter to re-create the St. Louis Arch on his ass with staples. He also wants Dieter to put a string underneath each staple so he can rip all the staples out at once.

They recruited the Christie, board operator from St. Louis, who they brought on the show earlier because she was hot. Duji helped to form the arch with a string and Christie began to staple. Dieter would yell each time she put one in and said it stung pretty bad. They put six staples in originally and then decided to go for ten. Just as she put in the last staple, one fell out, so Rover told her to put another one in.

They then had to decide on how to pull the string to get them out. Rover wanted to do it one at a time but Dieter said to pull on both ends and take them all out at once. They grabbed the strings and pulled on the count of three. You could hear the staples rip out and Dieter scream. Luckily, someone from the station had come in and put down plastic because Rover said the blood was dripping. Dieter said the removal was ten times worse than putting them in. I’m sure it will make for a nice conversation piece with the St. Louis ladies this weekend though.

Steve Trevino and Dan Hampton

Filed under: The Show — Justin @ 2:53 pm

Steve Trevino
Steve Trevino was on the show this morning. He is a comedian and a former writer for the show “Mind of Mencia”. He was probably the funniest guy that has ever been on the show. He stayed in studio for like half of the show! They started out by talking about racism and how Johnathon always complains that he can’t do racist jokes. Steve said he gets crap from the Mexicans because he looks white. Rover told Steve stories about Dieter’s weight lifting car and about Dieter serving food on weight plates. Steve was laughing so hard he was crying and he said that he was supposed to make them laugh, not the other way around.

Steve then admitted he has slept with Eva Longoria. They grew up in the same neighborhood and slept together around 10 years ago. Rover did not believe him at first. Steve said he saw Eva not too long ago, he asked if she remembered him and she replied that she didn’t remember anyone from where they grew up! Rover, Dieter and Steve went on to discuss how hot different girls are, with Steve saying Eva is not in his top 10. Steve was awesome and I hope they have him back on the show again. If you are in Chicago, you can see Steve Trevino this weekend at the Improv comedy club.

Dan Hampton, former defensive tackle for the Chicago Bears was on the show this morning. He talked about the ‘85 Bears team, who many consider the greatest team of all time. Rover asked Dan if there was a lot of racial tension on the football team, being in the minority as a white player. Dan said there was not at all, he said he never looked at it as black and white. He looked at it as who was the best player at their position. Rover also asked Dan about Terrell Owens. Dan said T.O. needs a daddy, someone to whip his ass, which he didn’t get in Philadelphia. He thinks he will get that from Bill Parcells and company in Dallas. Rover also asked about the Roethelisberger motorcycle incident. Dan said he does not fault Ben and that it was an accident.

UW’s Kevin Barrett on 9/11, Smoking Ban on Lake Michigan and Mancow Muller

Filed under: The Show — Justin @ 6:57 pm

Kevin Barrett, a professor at the University of Wisconsin has said he believes many of the September 11th hijackers are still alive. He calls Al Qaeda a “myth” made up by the government and says that 9/11 was a co-ordinated effort by the government. His comments have obviously caused quite an uproar, but after a 10 day investigation, the university has said he will be allowed to continue to teach there.

The crew got into a huge debate over this issue. Dieter, the king of conspiracy theories, says he thinks there are a lot of questions surrounding September 11th which have yet to be answered. He points to the “Loose Change” videos, which can be viewed at www.loosechange911.com. It claims to be a “documentary that exposes the truth about what really happened on 9-11″. Rover gives no credit to any of the theories and thinks Barrett should be kicked out of the university. Rover actually went as far as to say Barrett should be “strung up”.

A group has set out to ban smoking on the beaches of Lake Michigan. The group claims that people use the beaches as ashtrays. Last September, 30,000 cigarette butts were picked up off the beaches in three hours by volunteers. Rover contends that no new laws need to be made, just existing laws (littering) need to be better enforced. Dieter and Duji both think the law is a great idea and Duji thinks it is a hassle to have to move away from people who are smoking near you outdoors. Lots of callers agreed with Rover (although most were smokers and Rover is not) and the ban does seem a little silly when littering is the problem and the smoke isn’t really hurting anyway since it is outdoors.

True to Rover’s predictions, Mancow Muller was fired yesterday. Rover said he does not kick a man when he is down (Rover has been fired from several radio jobs) and he tried to get Mancow on the phone to explain his side of the story. Mancow hung up on Rover and they were not able to get him on the show. I’m sure Rover sending DJ Jazzy Jim down to his studio with a Jamba Juice application yesterday did not help the situation. I do hope they get him on the show though just because they have spoken about him so much recently and not being from the Chicago area, I have no idea who this guy is.
