Dieter Breaks Jonathon’s Guitar, One Eyed Bri Stalks Girls and MTV’s 25th Anniversary

I thought it was kind of strange that there was not much said about the Dieter and Jonathon helmet incident from Friday. Jonathon came on the air this morning and began to play a song. Midway through the song you just hear a scuffle and then things getting smashed and a bunch of yelling and screaming. Dieter ripped the guitar out of Jonathon’s hands and smashed it into pieces in the studio. Rover and Duji were both freaking out. Rover got hit in the head with a pole in the ensuing melee and Duji began to cry afterwards. Jonathon was very upset as this particular guitar was given to him by his father, who passed away when Jonathon was 12 from Leukemia. I felt really bad for Jonathon, although I would have thought he would have seen some sort of payback coming knowing Dieter. Jonathon left the studio for some time and said he didn’t know if he would be returning, although Rover eventually talked him into coming back up.

Rover brought One Eyed Bri in to talk this morning after he received an email from a women with a transcript of a very strange instant messenger conversation between Bri and herself. She had talked about holding her cat and Bri asked if he could be held like that too plus a bunch of other random weirdness. He of course started the whole thing off with his patented, “I only have one eye but that is all I need to see you are smokin” line.

Today is the 25th Anniversary of the launch of MTV. Rover went through MTV’s 25 Greatest Moments. These included several Madonna and Michael Jackson videos, the launch of “Real World”, Eric Clapton Unplugged and several MTV Music Awards moments. Beavis and Butthead and Jackass were two shows that also made it into the top 25 moments.
