Cleveland Search Party, Simplified Spelling Society, Steve Lonegan and Gilby Clarke
The Cleveland Miss Morning Glory calendar search party was on Friday. The winner, Brooke Lee (pictured on the left), was on the show this morning. She is 27 years old, 5′5″ and 126 pounds. She has been married for 7 years and has 2 kids! Rover said she jumped up on him after she was announced as the winner and he grabbed her ass.
Rover said DJ Jazzy Jim had claimed to have slept with four women in the bathroom Friday night. He said he was talking to him and he said he had slept with three women in the bathroom. Rover then told someone about the story and brought Jim over, Jim then claimed it was now four instead of three. Jim also said a police officer caught him in the act one of the times and yelled at him.
Cortney came to Cleveland to see Johnathon this weekend. Rover brought Johnathon in because he heard from several people that they got in a fight this weekend. Apparently, Johnathon got mad because Cortney wanted to go dance. He told her that she was there to see him. Cortney also got mad at Johnathon because he started talking to another girl. Two fights on the second time they have been together. Not a good omen. Johnathon said things got better the rest of the weekend though, including he and Cortney having sex on a bar in the club Jim was DJ’ing at.
The Simplified Spelling Society (SSS) is a movement that began almost 100 years ago to simplify the English language. This groups thinks it is too difficult and unfair to ask immigrants to learn English. They want to change everything to phonetic spelling and eliminate words that can be spelled in multiple ways (donut and doughnut). Rover is adamently against this movement, stating that if we were all able to learn the language and previous immigrants were able to, the current wave of immigrants should be able to as well. Tying in with this story is Bogota, NJ major Steve Lonegan, who was on the show this morning. McDonald’s has put up advertisements in Spanish in Bogota, which has a 20% latino population. Lonegan believes this move goes against all their effort for integration in Bogota. The banner advertisements, which promote McDonalds new iced coffee have also popped up in three other New Jersey towns with large latino populations.
Gilby Clarke, formerly of Guns N’ Roses, was also on the show this morning. Gilby, along with Tommy Lee and Jason Newsted (who was on the show a couple weeks ago, form the new rock band Supernova which is looking for a lead singer in the television show “Rockstar: Supernova”. Rover spoke with Gilby about the tension between the band mates and also about the tension that used to exist between Metallica and GNR during their peak years. Rover thought Tommy Lee might not take the show seriously because he is so much wealthier than the other two. Gilby revealed that his wife owns her own clothing line and is much wealthier than any of the three. You can see Rockstar: Supernova Tuesday nights on CBS.
