Violent Video Games, Sulfur Theories from Dieter and Dave Navarro
The crew got on a long discussion of video games after Rover brought up a Federal Judge who has thrown out a Minnesota Video game law which fined youths under 17 $25 for attempting to rent or buy a Mature (M) or Adult Only (AO) rated game. The law was scheduled to take effect Tuesday. Rover and Dieter both agreed that it is the parents responsibility to watch what their kid is doing/playing. Duji thought the law was a good idea although she did say parents need to watch out after a caller ripped into her. The show’s Memphis board operator IM’ed Rover and said his mom calls him for Grand Theft Auto tips and actually asked him how to get the hookers. Story
After a discussion of the De Beers group and their diamond cartel, Dieter brought up the point that he thinks there is a sulfur cartel forming. He claims that one of president George W. Bush’s best friends owns 90% of the world’s sulfur and in a clever ploy is going to sell it all back to different countries once global warming increases because sulfur cools the earth. Now sulfur is a rather adundant element, do I seriously doubt any one person could possibly own 90% of the world supply. Several science students also called in to say that sulfur’s cooling effect is really minimal and would not combat increased global warming anyway. I have no idea where Dieter comes up with these things.
Dave Navarro was on the show this morning. I think that means every single person on the show Rockstar: Supernova has now been on Rover’s Morning Glory. Rover asked Navarro about attitudes amongst the bandmates. Navarro claims that he didn’t notice any and that he has known all three guys for a long time. Rover also asked a few questions about Navarro’s pending divorce from Carmen Electra but he didn’t really get any solid responses. He then asked if Navarro was gay to which he responded, “You heard that about me?”. Dieter says if you search for “bisexual musicians” on Wikipedia that Navarro comes up. Jonathon then sang a new version of “Jane Says” by Jane’s Addition which revolved around Carmen Electra dumping Navarro and wanting to hook up with Jonathon. Dave called him out because Jonathon had the chords to the song backwards.
